Gah, summer has absolutely soared by. I’m spending a little time reflecting on the last few months' highlights and taking inventory of things I might want to look different next year…

My intention from the start was to create space for us as a city to weave together the notion of a global brand with a brand from an enormously recognized city into our fold of ours to make something memorable, remarkable, and special. Tying together these tiers of success feels like growth for our creative process and a nod to those who have gone before us, work alongside us, and will come to follow. My deepest hope is while applying our strengths to the place we love we can exencuate the good that we have while welcoming the impact of other people, places and things.

Naturally, the last snow of Spring offered herself to be present in the midst of an extraordinary evening. Fjallraven is a company I hold near and dear. I first saw one of their products well over ten years ago; during a photo shoot with a company out of Sweden. One of them carried the iconic square backpack, Kangen. I loved the shape, and the size and it wasn’t usual but the website was in Swedish and I couldn’t find it online to order in America. So many years later, they’ve warmly become our go-to for different outdoor clothing needs ++ cutie bags for the babies.

We started with a shop event with a handful of the really wonderful people that this city is comprised of. They enjoyed some bubbly and some products gifted by Fjallraven.

I feel honored that Fjallraven North America commissioned me to curate a dinner for their newest store. The Colorado Springs opened in the Shops at Briargate just a few days prior to the evening shared. As a community builder to our ever so quickly growing + very sweet city this invitation to dine together with others who love the outdoors and our city feels valuable and exciting. To be given creative freedom for such a celebration has been a treat through and through. The guest list was dynamic and out of the usual. The connections made from one to the next during the evening really felt sweet. It was an absolute incubator for new relationships and the crossover of many of the individuals that are making a difference in the shape and growth of Colorado Springs.

Cheers to each of you who have supported this space along the way. Incredible doors have opened and I want to honor you for helping create space for me to exist in this way.
