Holiday Parties...

Holiday Parties...

They're one of the best things about December... Amirite?! Gosh, I love this time of year. I love an excuse to send out an invite, fill our shelf with bottles of delicious liquid and open our doors to our friends and family. There are excuses, left and right, to dress up, dress down, buy gifts and prepare food and share all of the drinks with friends.

This year we had a Favorite Things party, which I stole from a friend in Phoenix. It was a blast. We shared lots of laughs over some of my go-to Winter tomato sausage tortellini soup, breaking bread, gobs of butter, of course, so many cookies and lots of wine. LIterally ran out of wine. Wa Wa. Hey, there is a first time for everything.

If you're looking for a fresh party idea, try the Favorite Things vibe. It's easy, super fun, different and everyone leaves with gifts that are actually good! We had about 40 people, it took about 20-30 minutes and overall it seemed like everyone was pleased. If you have a favorite holiday game, please leave it in the comments. I'd love to see!

Favorite Things Rules:

Each person brings two gifts that are identical ($10-$15) in worth. Each person's name gets written down twice (one for each gift they bring) and placed in a jar/basket. When it's time to exchange gifts the person stands up to explain their gift, then draws two names. At the end of hte party each person leaves with two different gifts. Super easy, super fun. We had ladies and gentlemen participate, you could divide by gender if preferred. xx- km
